Why It Happens
Your spine is a system of discs, joints, nerves, and muscles, and pain can start when any one of them is out of balance. A herniated or bulging disc can press on a nerve and cause radiating pain, numbness, and weakness. When the sciatic nerve gets pinched or irritated, you feel sharp, shooting pain or tingling down the leg.
Stiff or inflamed facet joints cause localized pain and make twisting or bending difficult. Tight, spasming muscle bands, known as trigger points, add pain and tension of their own. Every case is different, so we evaluate range of motion, nerve tension, posture, and how you walk to find every contributing factor before we treat.
The Honest Truth
Your life doesn’t have to revolve around back pain.
How We Fix It

Questions, Answered
Sciatica often shoots down your leg, past your knee, and into your foot, unlike muscle pain, which tends to stay in one place. Simple tests such as the straight leg raise help confirm whether the sciatic nerve is involved.
Sitting too long, bending improperly, or carrying objects that load your spine can intensify symptoms. Proper stretching and ergonomic adjustments help prevent flare-ups.
Cold therapy, nerve gliding exercises, core strengthening, and frequent movement help manage back pain between visits. Pain that keeps coming back should be evaluated so it doesn’t become a chronic problem.
