Posture Movement retraining Ask a Specialist

What It Is

Exercise chosen for your body, not a generic workout.

Corrective exercises are targeted movements designed to improve strength, flexibility, mobility, stability, posture, and movement patterns. They’re selected around your individual movement patterns, limitations, and goals.

Your physical therapist starts by assessing your posture, mobility, flexibility, strength, balance, and how you move. From there, your program may include core strengthening, mobility work, posture exercises, balance and stability training, stretching, and movement retraining.

As your strength and mobility improve, your exercises are progressed to keep challenging your body safely, including exercises to do at home between visits.
