What It Is

Healing takes more than time.

Recovering from an ACL injury isn’t just waiting for the knee to heal. Without the right rehab, it stays weak, unstable, and at risk for further damage, whether or not you had surgery.

Our program follows a progressive, evidence-based system. Early on we reduce swelling, manage pain, and restore range of motion, while activation exercises get your quads, hamstrings, and glutes engaged without overloading healing tissue. From there, strength, balance, and neuromuscular training rebuild stability.

The final phase adds dynamic strength, agility, and sport-specific drills. Athletes complete return-to-play assessments before competing again, and everyone else focuses on the functional strength and endurance to move without restriction.

Questions, Answered

ACL rehab, answered.

Recovery times vary, but most patients need 4 to 9 months of structured rehabilitation. Early progress focuses on mobility and strength, while later stages prepare you for a return to full activity.

Many patients struggle with regaining full knee extension and rebuilding quad strength. Without proper attention, these limitations can slow recovery and increase re-injury risk, so your physical therapist monitors and adjusts your program to keep you progressing.

Yes. Non-surgical cases still need strengthening and stability training. Without it, the knee tends to stay weak and unstable during pivoting and sudden stops.
